Campus Cravings is a full-stack food discovery web application designed for students at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa. The app connects students with local on-campus food vendors by providing digital menus, vendor information, and personalized food recommendations based on user preferences and dietary restrictions. The project aims to improve food access and visibility while supporting small campus businesses.
This was a semester-long group project for our Software Engineering course (ICS 314), built collaboratively by a team of four. The project was developed using the Issue-Driven Project Management (IDPM) methodology, with tasks organized and tracked using GitHub Projects.
From Campus Cravings, I gained hands-on experience building a fully deployed, scalable web application using modern full-stack technologies. I practiced effective team-based development with GitHub Projects and Issue-Driven Project Management. I also developed skills in authentication, database design, UI/UX, documentation, and debugging production-level applications. This project gave me confidence in both technical implementation and project coordination.
